Review: THE Cat Cafe Singapore Bugis

Hi Glamifys,

Loving this new place where I get to simply relax, chill out and hang around with cats!

Truly the PURRFECT cat cafe that serves gourmet drinks (their coffee is freshly brewed btw!) and the cakes!!! Their food is from halal supplier 🙂 Lasagne smells so yummy! I’m fasting so definitely will come back one evening for the food. Made with love by Candice (lady boss) and team.

Here is where you can find out more about them.

Phone @ 63386815 (available during operating hours only)

Candice , the owner, is so sweet. She explains how each cat was rescued and adopted. So of course I’ll support such great initiatives. 😀

What I love about this particular CAT CAFE is there is no timing or bookings to be made. You turn up, pay $15 entrance fee plus a free drink and spend hours here just hanging out. No strict rules except changing your footwear to house slippers.

No eyes watching your every move dictating what you can and cannot do.

This is so casual and just destressing. Isn’t that the whole point after all? Leave your problems at the door and have a good time ??

I’m actually blogging at PURRFECT as you read this and the cats are just like me…. Dozing in and out… Away from the hot day sun.

The cats were rescued from Kitty Care Haven and there are 15 in total. Please note that since there are so many cats here, they do take their own time to play and rest. There is no fixed nap time since you would always have a few sleeping while the rest are playing. 😀

More pictures to entertain you.

They are so playful and friendly. Just sit down and they will come around to play with you. Some just love smelling your food too. But please cat lovers, our food are not suitable for them so no dropping of crumbs for our 4 legged friends there.

Candice mentioned that the kitty cats are fed on really high quality food so they are in great hands.

There are places inaccessible to visitors if the cats just want to take a 5 minute breather. So rooftop walk ways and beds perched up high are a safe timeout zone.

It is rather easy to find the CAT CAFE.

Take the mrt to Bugis station. Cross the street to Bugis Village and you will see Burger King and Essensuals at the main junction.

There is a side entrance leading up to the CAT CAFE which is above Burger King (1st floor) and Essensuals (2nd floor). Cat cafe is on the third floor ! 😉

Hello! I read your blog and I noticed that the food is from a halal supplier. May I know whether the cafe itself is halal certified? Looking forward to your reply soon! 🙂

I love this cat cafe too! The owner’s indeed sweet and friendly!

Yes indeed! Very kind towards the cats. Most importantly 🙂

I hope they don’t station cat-keeper to correct (or reprimand) you when you try to interact with hiding cats, or when you are stroking them too fast or etc.

I realized many reviews also made a dig at the unreasonable-ness of the other cat cafe. Can’t blame reviewers though. I myself had posted a pretty negative review on them.

      Hi dear,

That’s where The Cat Cafe is different from the other cafe. The Cat Cafe doesn’t watch you like a hawk and dictate what you can or cannot do. Of course, if a cat is sleeping or hiding, try not to poke and prod or the cat may be cranky. It’s more a personal judgement on the visitor’s behalf.

There are many cats awake at any given time so we are free to have fun with them. In fact, the cats are so friendly that they come up to you to request that you play with them. Isn’t that cute ?

The only “rule” is to switch to house flip flops. That’s it I think!

Go visit them when you can 🙂 I had a really pleasant time here compared to the other cafe

It’s really a super cool place to be at. I was there on last Friday with another friend who is also a cat lover. I have 2 at home while she has 6 at her mum’s place. I have been to the other one cat cafe too but after checking this out, I think I probably will visit this more as here doesnt charge by per hour basis. The cats at The Cat Cafe are really active n friendly, each has its own character n behaviour too. Really a great place to hang out with cat lovers. 🙂

      Hi Susan dear,

wow! cat lovers united! i love cats too and have 2 of my own just like yourself.

I find that The Cat Cafe doesn’t make you to run after the cats since there is no time pressure. When your visit is charged by the hour, some people overwhelm the cats to make the most of our of their time there. No wonder the other cat cafes needed a strict guidebook on how to leave cats alone while they nap haha

love The Cat Cafe’s laid back concept and just like you, i will be back 🙂

        Hi hi,

Yes, agreed with you. Most of the cats were literally napping, hence, not much of interactions with them n also no feeding of cats are allowed too.

Yeah, totally love their laid back concept n the designs. Cool, hope to bump into you by chance at The Cat Cafe. :’)

So cool place! I saw in some program several cat cafes I think in different countries. I think it’s not only a good place for cats to live but a wonderful place for cat lovers and those who can’t have cat at home. Also if you came to cafe alone you always can have a drink with a cat:D I see on photo a guy sitting on one side of the table and cat on another:) I have one cat at home but cat lovers will understand’s never enough cats in your house:D

Yes absolutely. There are 2 so far in Singapore. Yet The Cat Cafe is the only one who doesn’t charge by the time you spend with the cats. So you could relax and just enjoy as much time as you want. Cats make me happy too!
